The Los Angeles Clippers are a professional basketball team based in Los Angeles, California. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and are members of the NBA Western Conference's Pacific Division. The club's home games are played at the Staples Center, which they share with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the Los Angeles Kings. The team has had only six winning seasons in its entire history, and only two since moving to Los Angeles. The Clippers began in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves. They were one of three franchises that joined the NBA in the 1970¿71 season. They moved and became the San Diego Clippers from 1978-1984, before moving to Los Angeles in 1984. |
